Meet Amber
Hi! I’m Amber Ennis. I'm a Marketing Communications and Advertising major and a Creative Writing minor at Endicott College. When someone asks me about the first story I wrote, I think back to when I was five years old. I wanted to write a book, so I forced my grandma to be the transcriber of my story about Hannah Montana and Lily (the best friend in that show), and how they became friends. I used stickers as the images, I stapled the ends of the pages like a book, and drew a cover. While my first story is considered lost media, it was the start of something that would become a passion once I got older.
Telling stories has something that comes naturally to me. That’s why I don't view advertising as something persuasive but rather as telling the consumer the story of why this product works for people. I’ve known from a young age that I’d be doing something creative and telling stories to people. While I now do things a little differently (my grandma will not be part of the setup), the core stays the same. Advertising to me isn’t just about selling something. It’s finding that connection with people.
So to sum it up — I’ve been telling stories since before I could even write.
